5 Best Haircuts for Men with

Early Hair Thinning

Losing your hair is never a good feeling, most men tend to feel self-conscious about it. Some men decide to completely shave off their heads or constantly wear a hat. One of the most common insecurities men face is hair thinning; for some men, it starts as early as in their 20s. The loss of confidence really starts to affect the way men do their hair and the types of hair cuts they get. Men start to worry about how they will be perceived by friends, family, and colleagues. Hair thinning should not be the cause of self distraughtness, and it should not limit men to have to continuously cover their heads. CADMEN Barbershop has compiled a list of the top 5 best haircuts for men experiencing early hair loss.

How to Choose a Barber School: 7 Questions to Ask Before You Pay

How to Choose a Barber School: 7 Questions to Ask Before You Pay

Most people pick a barber school on price and location, then find out too late that they spent months in a classroom and still cannot cut a clean fade under pressure. The school you choose decides whether you leave with a skill shops actually hire for, or a certificate and a lot of theory. If you have no experience yet, that is fine. The right questions matter more than what you already know.

Here are the seven questions to ask any barber school before you pay a deposit.

1. How many students are in a class?

Barbering is a hands-on trade. You learn it by cutting real heads with a teacher watching your hands, not by watching a demo from the back of a room. A class of ten or twenty means you get a few minutes of real attention a day. Ask for the exact number. At CADMEN Barber Academy the cap is three students per class, and two is the sweet spot, because the whole point is that the educator can stand beside you and correct your angle in real time.

2. Do I cut real people, or only mannequins?

Mannequin heads are useful for scissor work and long hair. They cannot teach you how to handle a real client who has a cowlick, a tight curl pattern, or a strong opinion about their neckline. Real skill comes from real models. Ask how many live models you get. A serious hands-on program supplies them for you so you are cutting real hair from day one.

3. Who is actually teaching, and what have they built?

Anyone can call themselves an educator. Ask who runs the room and what they have done in the real business. CADMEN was built by Francis Paua, a master barber with over twenty years behind the chair whose clients include NBA, NFL, NHL, and CFL athletes, and who has trained barbers that now teach for global brands. You want to learn from someone who has done the thing, not someone who read about it.

4. Does the school have proof, or just promises?

Every school sells a dream. Very few can show receipts. Ask what they have actually built and whether people vouch for it. CADMEN grew from one Mississauga shop into multiple award-winning locations, over 1,000 five-star reviews, more than 20,000 clients served, and a full franchise system documented with lawyers. The proof is the point. It is the one thing a new school cannot fake.

5. What happens after the class ends?

This is the question almost no one asks, and it is the one that decides your income. Plenty of people finish a course and still have no idea how to get a first chair, build a book, or price their work. Ask what the path looks like after the last day. A school that only cares about the tuition disappears when the class is over. A school built by shop owners keeps teaching you the business side, because that is where careers are actually made or lost.

6. Is the training near me and on a real schedule?

If you are searching for a hands-on barber course near Toronto or Mississauga, location and format matter. Online video can teach you theory. It cannot put a clipper in your hand and fix your pressure. Look for in-person, hands-on training with clear dates and a defined structure so you know exactly what each day covers before you commit.

7. Will they be honest about what one course can and cannot do?

No two-day class turns a beginner into a master. Anyone who promises that is selling you something. What a strong beginner course does is give you the fundamentals, real reps on real heads, and a clear next step so you keep improving after you leave. If a school is straight with you about that, take it as a good sign. Honesty up front usually means honest teaching inside the room.

The short version

Small classes. Real models. A teacher who has built the business. Proof you can check. A path after the class ends. In-person and near you. And honesty about what one course can do. Ask those seven questions and the right school becomes obvious fast.

CADMEN Barber Academy runs hands-on beginner training in Mississauga, near Toronto, with a three-student cap, real models supplied for you, and a master barber in the room. No experience needed. If you want to know whether it is the right fit, the first conversation is free.
