5 Best Haircuts for Men with

Early Hair Thinning

Losing your hair is never a good feeling, most men tend to feel self-conscious about it. Some men decide to completely shave off their heads or constantly wear a hat. One of the most common insecurities men face is hair thinning; for some men, it starts as early as in their 20s. The loss of confidence really starts to affect the way men do their hair and the types of hair cuts they get. Men start to worry about how they will be perceived by friends, family, and colleagues. Hair thinning should not be the cause of self distraughtness, and it should not limit men to have to continuously cover their heads. CADMEN Barbershop has compiled a list of the top 5 best haircuts for men experiencing early hair loss.

Barbering 101

September 03, 20242 min read

If you're thinking about diving into the world of barbering or have just started your journey, you're in the right place. In this Barbering 101 guide, we'll break down the basics of what it takes to become a successful barber.

Tools of the Trade

Before you start cutting hair, you'll need some essential tools:

1. Clippers: These are a MUST for any barber, needed for fades and other styles using a close shave. They come in different sizes for different styles.

2. Scissors: Precision is key, and good barber scissors are key for detailed cutting and shaping.

3. Combs and Brushes: These help with styling, detangling, dispersing products and keeping things neat.

4. Capes: Capes protect your clients' clothes and skin from irritating pieces of hair.

5. Trimmers: These are for fine-tuning, especially around the hairline and beard.

Learning the Basics

Barbering takes practice, just like any other skill. Start with the basics:

1. Cutting Techniques: Learn how to create clean lines, balance layers, and create a range of fades from high to low. Practice is your best friend here.

2. Beard Grooming: If you want to work on beards, practice trimming, shaping, and styling them. You can use trimmers and occasionally scissors on long facial hair.

3. Hair Types: Get to know different hair types and textures. What works for one client might not work for another, and hair types as well as face shapes make a huge impact on how a cut will turn out on a client.

4. Client Communication: This is super important. Talk to your clients, ask questions, and listen carefully. Understanding what they want is key to giving them the perfect haircut and honing your skills.

Keep It Clean

Remember, safety is crucial. Keep your tools clean and sanitized. You'll also want to learn about skin conditions, allergies, and how to handle any emergencies that might come up, such as how to avoid making nicks or cuts to the client.

Barber School or Apprenticeship

Consider going to barber school or finding a barber who's willing to teach you as an apprentice. These are great ways to learn from the pros and get hands-on experience. You can work with Master Barbers in person or online with the range of barbering classes available at https://academy.cadmen.ca/

Wrap-up

Barbering is an exciting and rewarding career. It's all about creativity, skill, and making people feel good about themselves. So, if you're interested, start practicing, keep learning, and one day, you could be a successful barber helping people look and feel their best.
