Hands-On Barber Training

You learn to cut hair by cutting hair. Watching videos has a ceiling, and that ceiling is low.

CADMEN Barber Academy is built around hands-on work. Every class runs on live models, in a studio capped at three students, so the day is mostly you with clippers in hand and a working barber watching and correcting.

What the training gives you

Licensing, stated plainly

Ontario regulates hairstyling as a skilled trade with an apprenticeship path and a Certificate of Qualification. Barbering skill itself can be learned privately. CADMEN Barber Academy is a private training studio. It does not grant a hairstyling licence, Skilled Trades Ontario apprenticeship hours, or a registered career college credential. If your goal is the provincial certificate, you earn that through the apprenticeship and exam process. If your goal is to cut hair well and start working or building a client base, private hands-on training puts you on real heads fast.

Common questions

How much of the class is actual cutting?

Most of it. The format is built so beginners get repeated reps on live heads with feedback, not lecture time.

Do you provide the models?

Yes. CADMEN coordinates live models so each student has heads to work on through the class.

Is this licensing or skill training?

Skill training. CADMEN is a private studio. It does not issue a licence or apprenticeship hours. It gets you cutting confidently on real people.
